Peter Paige came to LEAVING BARSTOW having made his directorial debut with SAY UNCLE (2005) starring Kathy Najimy, Anthony Clark, Melanie Lynskey, and Gabrielle Union. The film was called "intelligent and insightful entertainment with considerably more substance than most small budget independent films," by the LA Times. His stage work as a director includes the New York premiere of ME, MY GUITAR, AND DON HENLEY by Grey's Anatomy Executive Producer Krista Vernoff.

Peter is also an accomplished actor with experience on stage and in television. He is best known for his role as Emmett Honeycutt on Showtime's hit series QUEER AS FOLK. Other credits include recurring and guest star roles on GREY'S ANATOMY, WITHOUT A TRACE, WILL & GRACE and GIRLFRIENDS, as well as world premiere plays at La Jolla Playhouse, Portland Center Stage, and Playwrights Horizons. In the fall of 2007, Peter starred in the Los Angeles production of THE HISTORY BOYS at the Ahmanson Theatre.

Peter's latest film script with writing partner Brad Bredeweg has been optioned by Single Cell Pictures (BEING JOHN MALKOVICH).

A USC graduate, Kevin Sheridan began acting professionally at the age of fourteen. While still attending high school, Kevin starred opposite Dan Aykroyd in ABC's SOUL MAN. He has had recurring characters on such shows as AMERICAN DREAMS and VERONICA MARS. Some of his other credits include BOSTON PUBLIC, JUDGING AMY, WITHOUT A TRACE, JUSTICE and THE CLOSER.

LEAVING BARSTOW is Kevin's first feature film as a writer. Kevin currently has a television pilot and a feature film in development with writing partners Anthony Szpak and Jessica Jill Turner.

Madelon Smith came to Los Angeles to make motion pictures after enjoying a 12-year media/marketing career with Leo Burnett Advertising in Chicago and The Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta.

Madelon completed the MFA in film producing at the American Film Institute and produced an award-winning thesis, followed by internships with Focus Features (NBC/Universal) and Worldwide Film Entertainment (international sales), She then spent a year as Director of Development at David Ladd Films.

Prior to filmmaking, Madelon completed a BA in History from Indiana University and a Master of Public Policy in Urban Economics from the University of Chicago. LEAVING BARSTOW is her first feature film.

Cynthia has collaborated as Producer and Co-Producer on five feature films since receiving her MFA from the prestigious American Film Institute. In addition, her work includes numerous shorts, including the award winning COUGH DROP and THE MANUAL.

While at AFI, Cynthia interned for Wolfgang Petersen at Radiant Productions and received a Hollywood Foreign Press Scholarship Award for her academic achievement. Currently she is developing projects thru her production company, Stairway Films and looks forward to continuing her working relationship with the LEAVING BARSTOW team.

David began working in production for ABC Television, producing movies and variety specials. As Executive Vice President of production for MGM, David supervised the production of numerous films, including GET SHORTY, RED CORNER, MULLHOLLAND FALLS, THE CUTTING EDGE, SLEEP WITH ME, and UNTAMED HEART. Under his production banner, David Ladd Films, Mr. Ladd produced A GUY THING, HART'S WAR, and SERPENT AND THE RAINBOW.
